Moss in great early season form
Former Victorian Bushranger Jonathan Moss has made a sparkling start to the Sydney Grade Cricket season, leading the Sydney Cricket Club 1st XI to two wins from its first two matches.
In its Round 1 one-day match against Parramatta, Sydney chased down Parramatta's score of 6/216 (50 overs) with the loss of only four wickets, Moss top-scoring in the run chase with 88 enabling his side to get home with five overs to spare.
In Round 2, Sydney defeated Eastern Suburbs by six wickets, scoring 4/147 in pursuit of Easts' 145 all out. Moss captured 2/11 from his 13 overs with the ball and then contributed 40 valuable runs during the chase.
Sydney currently sit fourth on the First Grade table.
