The Laurie Shneider Cup
Maccabi AJAX stalwart and legend Laurie Shneider has been given the honour of having the 2008/09 Dreamteam Calcutta fundraising competition named after him.
Players at the club were randomly divided into teams of three and they will be given points for batting, bowling and fielding throughout the season.
Teams were sold (in auction style) at the first selection night dinner before Round 1, and overall over $500 was raised for the club.
The person who owns the team which has accumulated the most amount of points at the end of season 2008/09 will be declared the overall winner and receive a brand new cricket bat.
