Milo In2Cricket SEASON 2010/11
The Maccabi Ajax Junior Cricket Club is again conducting the MILO IN2 CRICKET program in season 2010/11, following a successful program last year which had 77 kids registering.
The program introduces children to cricket skills and activities in a structured manner with an emphasis on fun.
The program covers a range of fundamental motor skills important to childhood development - hitting a ball, catching, throwing, running, stopping, balance and co-ordination.
It also caters for varying individual skill and age levels. In addition it involves important social skills including teamwork, co-operation, communication, and learning how to approach winning and losing.
Age: Girls and boys who in 2010 are in (a) prep, (b) grade 1, or (c) grades 2 or 3. Girls and boys in kinder are unable to participate.
Venue: Probably Lord Reserve, Munro Ave Carnegie, Melways map reference page 68 G6. Venue to be confirmed following Council allocation/confirmation.
Sunday mornings: 9.00am - 10.00am
Registration: Online only at www.majcc.com.au - click on the REGISTER ONLINE icon. No alternative registration method is available. Payment is required by credit card through the registration process.
Dates: 24 October 2010 - 12 December 2010 (8 occasions). In the New Year following a break, from 30 January 2011 to 27 February 2011 (5 occasions).
Cost: $75, includes Victoria Maccabi affiliation and end of season medal.
Pack Collection: Sunday 17 October 2010 from 5pm to 6pm at 16 Orrong Grove, North Caulfield. The pack for all kids includes bat, ball, backpack, hat, shirt and drink bottle. Kids in grades 2 and 3 will receive a more senior pack than kids in prep and grade 1.
